Encouraging Bible Verse?

A good friend of mine just lost her first baby. She wasnt very far along however she has been wanting to have a baby forever and is obviously crushed at her loss. What are some good encouraging bible verses that may help remind her that as bad as things are now they will get better?

Isaiah 49:13 says, "For the LORD has comforted His people And will have compassion on His afflicted."

Matthew 5:4 "Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted."

2 Corinthians 5:8 , "We are of good courage, I say, and prefer rather to be absent from the body and to be at home with the Lord."

Although your friend will suffer, and never forget this lost child, I hope for her to find peace. Encourage her to turn to the bible. God will direct her where to turn. He knows her pain, and He knows how to help her unlike anyone else could.

"Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful."

    John 14:27

Please do not try to give her Bible verses right now. She is hurting too badly for that. Only act as the Bible says to. Rejoice with those who rejoice and weep with those who mourn. Take over any of the unpleasant details of the situation that you can manage. She won't want to hear that her baby was part of all things working together for good right now. She might be able to in a year or so. As a fellow Christian, I urge you to listen to this. Too many people are beaten up when they are hurting by well-meaning friends quoting them scriptures that they aren't ready for.

John 5:28, 29 - "Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out."

Revelation 21: 3-5 - "With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: 'Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his peoples. And God himself will be with them. And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.' And the One seated on the throne said: 'Look! I am making all things new.' Also, he says: 'Write, because these words are faithful and true.'"

Psalms 55:22 - "Throw your burden upon Jehovah himself, And he himself will sustain you. Never will he allow the righteous one to totter."

Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.

If I were there, I would hug her and pray for peace for her. Since I am not all I can say is "All things work for good for them that love the Lord."

There is another one in Romans about testing build perservance, perservance building hope in Jesus.

Give your friend a hug for me and tell her there is an old gray haired granna praying for her.

Why do you need a bible verse? I'm sure you can come up with something supportive all on your own. Try it. It really won't hurt.
