Clomid is a fertility drug used to stimulate egg production. It is a fairly "mild" fertility drug. Clomid is found in tablet form. It is fairly safe and most of the time produces one egg. When someone takes injected fertility drugs such as Perganol, that is when you see the higher frequency of multiple births. hope this helps.

It is a fertility medication used to induce ovulation.

It is taken orally (as opposed to most other fertility medications, which are injected) and does not put one at a much higher risk of multiples. Because of this it is usually one of the first treatments used when trying to overcome infertility.
