What is the typical amount paid by an automobile dealership as a finders fee? I sold a car for a local dealership and i wanted to know what to expect as a finders fee.

If you get more than a "Thank you" consider yourself lucky. Car dealerships and more importantly car sales people work on 100% commission. Unless they made a bundle on the transaction, I wouldn't hold my breathe waiting for a big windfall.
