is that messed up or what??

there is this guy who is cousins with my boss and everyone at work knew that he had a crush on me except me. Then my close friend at work who happens to be his cousin as well told me. I asked him about it and he admitted then he was like he wanted go out with me and i said kool but we never did now he says we should be friends only but its so clear that he likes me and he was kinda growing on me too. What to do?????
