Mystic Spray Tans... how do they look??

I am getting married in 2 weeks, and was considering trying a spray tan, but was afraid of how it would look. Any thoughts?

I got one last winter for my husband's Xmas Party and it looked great! Go to your local tanning salon, they should have a weekly trial. I paid $20 for goggles, 5 regular tanning sessions and 2 Turbo tanning sessions (which must be used within the week) plus $25 for the Mystic Tan session. It's always better to have some kind of a base tan (even if you only go in the UV beds up to 5 minutes - the tan will look more natural) Ahead of time, use your favorite exfoliant at home in the shower. And when you go to do your Mystic, you should pop into the UV tanning bed for about 5 minutes ahead of time to open your pores, your tan will last longer, and again, look completely natural. I'm not a tanning salon employee, but a tanning junkie, believe me, I know. Good luck on your wedding. (Oh, and I would do the Mystic NO LESS than 3 days prior to your wedding, if you're wearing white or anything light colored, it could ruin your dress when you start sweating) :)

I got a Mystic Spray tan before a trip to Mexico last year. When I arrived at home, my boyfriend said I looked like an oompa loopa, and I have to admit, I was really orange!!! But, the next morning when I took a shower it had faded, and by the following day, when we went to Mexico, it looked great! The only complaint I had was the smell. There is a faint odor with it. My boyfriend claimed to not notice it, but I could smell it...kind of like when you use other self tanning products.

Overall, I thought it was worth it. It isn't very expensive, so why not try it now (since it fades in a week or so) then you can get it again before your big day, if you like it? Congrats!

I've done mystic tan before and it looked ok. I never looked Orange although you have to be very careful. You can easily get streaks. This is your big day so I would say don't take the chance. I would suggest since you have two weeks is to go into a tanning bed. This will give you an even tan without lines. It will look natural.

I would DEFINITELY not suggest the spray tans~ You still have 2 weeks so you can build a decent base....I tried the spray tans and there is some color all over obviously but it gets really streaky and orangish around the wrists...Also, it has a really distinct smell so it's kind of a turn off....Either way you have time to get a normal tan going so I would stay with that option~

Mystic tan is one of the better spray tans. Make sure you go very light. If you are pale, just have the setting low so that you have a kiss of color. Over doing it is what makes it look the most fake.

It depends on where you get it. They have improved a lot since they first came on the market. I know several people who get them every few weeks and they look great. I would try it, I think you will be please with the results. Try it ASAP so that if you don't like it by the time the wedding comes around it will be less noticable. And if you do like it, get another one a few days before. Good Luck and Congrats!!

I'm curious about the same thing! One thing I can tell you.... DO NOT PAY $150 for the "Spa-application" tan at a spa/salon. It doesn't work at all! You'd be better off buying a good self tanner at the drugstore.
