Mexico and 26 or so other countries are against it, why? Shoudn't we try to keep illigal aliens out of our country?

Mexico doesn't want to end its 3rd largest income in its economy, the $ 45 billion that the illegal sends back to Mexico in remittances each year.It doesn't matter what Mexico or the other country's want, its none of their concern.I don't care what any one thinks about this country. If you don't like America then don't come here. That's the best solution.Fix your own country's before you try to have ant affect on our policy. To me that shows me it must be going to do some good in helping stop the endless flow of illegal aliens to this country. And that to me is a good thing not bad.How in the hell does a 700 mile fence on a 2000 mile border hurt any other country.Get real its only an inconvenience to the illegal ,that's all.

If the fence stops 1 illegal then its worth the money spent.

As for what Mexico thinks,I say fix Mexico and we here in the USA wouldn't have to build a wall.

kwaz.the Berlin wall divided one city not a country.or the borders between two country's .We are not trying to keep people in the USA, we are trying to keep criminals our.Your analogy doesn't work in the clear light of facts

Its a fence not a wall,I live in Arizona and unless you live in a border state and face what we face everyday then you don't know what you are talking about.I have seen my beautiful city turned into a crime scene, its being decimated by the endless flow of illegals, that are bankrupting this great country. When its at your front door will you then see it as the problem it is?

Its much like the Berlin wall isn't it? People tend to forget that the vast majority of Americans are decended from illegal and unwanted immigrants, fleeing their country for a chance at a better life. The fence will also bi-sect 3 Inidan tribes, who have not allowed illegal immigrants or non tribal members to cross freely. It will in that case seperate families, and deny care, food and other essential serivces

IF you think keeping illagals out of your country will solve anything, then yes, it probably is a good idea. of course you still have to think about the coastline... i suggest seamines and underwater barbwire... i wonder if you can train dolphins to go for the throat?...

wich leaves only the canadian border to cover... killer bears perhaps? or run over elk?

then all you need to do is close the airports, lock the custom stations... oh yes... a high voltage birdnet against parachuters.... *nods* yes, i think that should work.

get real buddy... we recently entered a new milennium. there are planes... balloons, all kinds of seafaring vessels. mexicans can enter the US with a legal visum, and then disappear. or, if you dont allow ANY mexicans, they can still go to canada and enter from there... NO ONE who really wants to reach the US is going to be deterred by a simple wall.

the one thing a wall like that will do perfectly, is to look REALLY bad in the international community.

set a goal to build x miles /yr until it extends the full length of the border.what isn't built back up border patrol with armed national guard with some authority to hold for trial and shoot if necessary.after it's finished leave a force or hire more patrol.

all you bellyachers who complain about all the work they do can still have them but it will be controlled by setting a certain level of work visas.

we have to seal the border before figureing out the rest of the problem.

This is a big fat waste of money. I would rather see them deepen the Rio grand. Or what ever they are wadding across to get into this country.

I assume they are going to put sensors in this wall so they know where to look when they knock a hole in it?

Or what about the unfenced part?

Hello America! Building a wall is one more step in forming a police state - what is wrong with you people?

    Remember the Berlin Wall?

i think it should be electric and much much taller. i live in Texas and even the menus at a restaurant are in English and Spanish. if they wish to come here they should do it legally and they should learn English before they get here. if i went to Mexico they wouldn't learn English for me. if we as American citizens do something illegal we are punished. they are here illegally and should be sent back, the police should actively look for illegals to send back. they get free food, free insurance. my family has no free food and insurance.

I think the wall is not High enough, Long enough Or deep enough.

I agree with the 2 above me. We have too many illegals clogging up our tax system. I am sick of working to support them!!
