I have a 2005 Chevy Uplander, the headlights flicker on occasion?
The headlights flicker on occasion, it has happened about 2-3 times since we bought it, (we bought it new). The interior lights also flicker, not the dashboard lights, the overhead lights. I am wondering what could be causing this? I do not think that there is any particular thing that occurs right before the lights flikcer. The one time that I really remember the head lights doing this, I was applying my brakes to slow so I could make a turn. Thanks for the advice/input in advance.
While I like a sense of humor, I really am looking for a reason to this problem.
(o.k. I agree on the 'not made in the USA' thing)

hmm. it could be a variety of things.
i serisouly doubt its the alternator. but you never know. especially if you have abs. because that's an electonical part, so that could cause your voltage to go up, which means the car cancels out the not important stuff to keep her movin' if that makes any sense.
It could be fuses. Those are easy to replace. You'll find em under the dashboard close to the floor.
um. that's all i can think of besides maybe you're car just has personality. =]
But you can get a voltage test done at advance or auto zone for free. to see if there are any electitrical probs.
hopefully this helps

You should take it to the place you bought it and tell them. But it sounds like you have a short somewhere in your wiring. Check the fuses as well one might be loose. Did you buy in 2005 or has it been sitting on the lot since then. If you purchased it recently and it is a 2005 I would get a car fax report you may have gotten scammed.

Check your wiring for the headlights. You might have a loose plug somewhere. Same for the dome lights. If you can trace the wiring I would look for any bare wires also because you might be getting a slight ground out but this is unlikely. If all appears normal to you take it to a mechanic.

You should take it back to the/ a Chevy dealer. Tell them exactly what happened and what your concerns are. Don't let them brush you off. It sounds like electrical malfunctions, possible wiring harness issues. It should still be covered under warranty or it has recalls on it. Make some noise and complain.

you may need to bring it back in.... you may have a electrical problem. Have you checked the conections with your alternator and battery..... Like I said call the dealer and tell them to check it out... they have a great little diagnostic machine for that.
