No, not at all. Just plan on it taking up to a year or more to finish and pick it up whenever you feel like it so as not to mess it up.

My best friend's mom does them and it always takes her at least a year to do a really large, tapestry type wall hanging piece.

Hey there, i've just started to do cross stitch as well, and they look pretty hard. I've bought one, but have it in my closet for when I think i'm ready. I think it will take a long time to do. I'm going on a cruise next summer, and I think i'm going to take it with me then and work on it on the boat since i'll probably have a lot of down time. I think it is up to you to decide when you think you are ready. You could always start it and see if you are ready, and if you don't think you are, then just put it back and start another simpler one. Don't push yourself too hard. =)

I geat mixed up with the counting once you are further along in the piece and it does not match up correctly.

i'm particular you may want to do it in spite of the indisputable fact that it could be more effective perfect to do some smaller initiatives first to furnish your self prepare and get used to following a trend. Small products for greetings playing cards or bookmarks are a good position to commence.
