Casino Travel in Detroit Michigan?

MGM is prettier. Greektown Casino is more livelier and surrounded by more attractions. There is the beautiful Antheneum hotel next door, or the more reasonably priced Marriott Courtyard a couple of blocks away. There is also a budget friendly Days Inn in the area.

Everything else will require a walk, or a ride on the People Mover (50 cents).

You'll need a car to get to the MGM Grand. The Greektown casino is in the middle of everything and right off the people mover (elevated train).

The Courtyard, Marriott, or Hilton Garden Inn are the best, closest hotels.

Just get a hotel near the People Mover, and take that monorail to the Greektown Casino. The other two casinos, you pretty much have to have a car to drive to, or just take a cab. I prefer the MGM myself, much nicer than the Greektown casino. Never been to the Moto casino, nor the Windsor casino. I hear the Windsor casino offers much lower buy in stakes for most casino games.

The athenaeum hotel is right across the street from greek town hotel. Greek town is really just a street with restaurants, but you can change up your dining if you get bored of eating in the casino.

There is nothing next to MGM or motorcity casinos, but they are building hotels on-site...they should be done sometime late in 2007, by the looks of things...they are really humping and pumping on the construction.

i suggest going to Greektown Casino b/c there is a lot of activity in that area. and Antheneum Suite Hotel is right there. i LOVE that hotel. i think you will enjoy yourself :)
