Climate and Weather
The climate is mainly tropical marine, but the weather changes often. The average temperatures during the day are 80 to 90 degrees Fahrenheit. At night they lessen from 70-60 degrees Fahrenheit. there is often heavy rainfall, and it is always warm. Yearly, they get an average amount of 80 inhces of rain. The islands are located on an earthquake zone. Mindanao has the world's second largest fault, Mindanao Trough, with a depth of 10,670 meters. Northern and central parts of the Philippines are prone to typhoons. Monsoons occur in the Northeast during the summer and during the winter in the Southwest. there are three pronouced season; wet and rainy (June-October), cool dry weather (November -February), and hot dry weather (March-May).
Because of the extreme climate, Filippinos build easily destructible huts that can also easily be replaced. The homes weigh little so if a person is trapped beneath one, someone can rescue them without a lot of hard labor involved.

Unlike the USA, the Philippines has 2 weathers. It is either the rainy or the dry or summer season. Summer is usually from March to May, usually when children goes on vacation from school.
When classes starts, that is June. It already begins to rain until November. However, in some cases, December to February, there are few rainshowers.
December to February are the coldest months!

There are basically only two seasons:
WET: June to October
DRY: October to June
It is very noticeable in Manila, but not really in Cebu, and the Visayas.
In Cebu in the coastal areas, the midday temperature is around 86ºF or 30ºC all year round.
The overnight temperature rarely falls below 80ºF pre-dawn, and if it goes to 78ºF or below pre-dawn as happened in December 2002 it really makes the news.
The Visayas is usually outside the monsoon belt, and when it rains normally it is for less than an hour, but then it dries up.
Manila is in the Monsoon belt, and as it is 2' below sea level can flood quickly.
In the mountains it is a lot colder, take Baguio "The City of Eternal Spring" in December the temperature can fall to the mid-fifties at night, and the vendors are dressed as in a scene from Dickens' London. You can tell the Scandinavians, they are the only people running around in shorts.
I hope that helps, I am from UK and now live in Cebu.

Nope. Philippines is a tropical country. I has only dry and wet seasons. Dry season occurs during March - August and wet season during September - February. But with climate change, heavy rains and storms sometimes hit during dry season.
