I think he was testing her, because he knew the "games" she was setting up were impossible for the victims to get out of alive and that isn't what he was about. He wanted her to carry on his work, but she was taking it too far. That was her final test. Don't know what was in the envenlope, I'm thinking the tape that he poured wax on was to her. As far as her cutting herself... that was her whole point to Jigsaw... that people don't change after going through his "tests". She was a cutter before he got to her and she started up again, (or never quit), but she was doing it in places that he wouldn't see. I hope there is a part 4, but I loved Amanda and don't know how they could do another movie without her or Jigsaw.
