This is what I would make. You can make so many, in more time and not too expensive to make. (No oven needed)

    Butterscotch Cookies (no Bake)

These are easy to make & can be made with other chips other than butterscotch. They can be frozen for later use as well.

    32 servings 32 cookies 15 min 10 min prep

    1/2 cup margarine

    2/3 cup evaporated milk

    1 1/2 cups sugar

    1 cup butterscotch chips

4 cups quick oatmeal (have used the other & it turns out just fine)

Put marge, milk, sugar in a pot.

    Heat& stir until boiling.

    Boil 1 minute Stirring constantly.

    Remove from heat.

Add chips, stir well. Now add the oatmeal & stir again.

Cool silghtly till it can be handled.

    Drop onto greased cookie sheets.

    Chill until firm.

Can be frozen for future use.

    No-Bake Chocolate Oatmeal Cookies

These are wonderful, quick cookies. It is one of the first things I learned to 'cook'. You can add more or less oats (3 1/2 cups works best for me). I have found that the weather makes a difference on the consistancy. It is very important not to boil them for longer than a minute.

    24 cookies 6 min 5 min prep

    1/2 cup butter or margarine

    2 cups sugar

    1/2 cup milk

    4 tablespoons cocoa

    1/2 cup peanut butter

    3 1/2 cups dry oats

    2 teaspoons vanilla

Add the first four ingredients into a 4 qt sauce pan.

Bring to a rolling boil and hold for 1 minute.

    Remove from heat.

Stir in the next 3 ingredients and drop by tablespoons onto wax paper.

    Let cool until set.

Talk to a church, most of them will have a kitchen, and many of them have the utensils that you need to make bars for that many. Most of them will let you use the kitchen for a small donation to the church or an in-kind donation, and if you, or someone you know is affiliated to the church it may even be free.

A full-sized sheet pan when cut correctly should 96 - 11/2" pieces, so even if you were going to be generous in the cutting of your bars, that would mean 6 sheet pans at the outside. Choose a bar that is easy to make, or two different kinds that can be make from one base.

    Happy baking!

    7 layer bars are good...

Or rice crispy treats might be easier, since you don't have to bake them.
