It only bites at night?

I moved into my apartment in the beginning of Sept. By the end of the month, even though i wear a t-shirt and pajama bottoms to bed, I was noticing red welts about the size of a dime all over my stomach, back and breasts. I probably get 4 or 5 new ones every night. They stay swollen for roughly 3 days then they just look like flea bites (really small). I have a cat, but he is on advantage. He is not getting bitten, and he sleeps on the bed too. I get the bites when I sleep (including durring the day when I take naps.) I've checked for bloodstains or small black dots (bed bug feces) as well as have looked for the bedbugs themselves. I haven't found anything. Could it still be bedbugs even though I haven't seen any signs other than the bites? If so, what can I do to get rid of them, I can exterminate, but not until Thanksgiving weekend when my kitten and I will be out of town. If possible I'd like to do something to stop it sooner than that. Any help is really apprecaited.

It still sounds like bedbugs. If you know for sure, that your cat does'nt have Fleas or Mites, then I suggest you get rid of the mattress, and all of the bed linen you have, and start fresh. If you have carpeting, have it professional cleaned. Carpet Mites will live on your cat, without bothering it,but once your cat gets into bed,the Mites will bite you.

Sounds like bedbugs to me. Have an exterminator check out your room and do it asap. You may have to check into a hotel until the infestation is cleared up. Ask for precautions when packing since they can get into your suitcase, too.

Get a new mattress or a new bed.The same thing happened to me I kept washing my sheets every 3 days and that didn't work,so don't do the same thing.

There was probably a flea infestation in the apartment before you moved in.

It may be spiders. Give your apartment a good cleaning and check for places that spiders may be hiding. You may also try vacuuming your mattress.
