yes give a big hand to Jeff. Im one of the only people who wanted the cards to win at my school in ann arbor. Everyone said "Cardinals are going to lose tonight because Jeff Weaver is pitching and he sucks." sure hes not the best but hes better then all the pitchers on the tigers. and he did pitch his heart out. no one else could have done a better job. Well done for the cardinals.

My Tigers cap is off to Dream Weaver. He didn't work out here in Detroit or in New York, but he's finally found his nitch amongst good Major League pitchers and I'm proud of him. I even hope someday he'll come back to Detroit to be a part of the Tigers' mighty pitching staff.

Isn't it amazing how both Kenny Rogers, Brandon Looper and Jeff Weaver were stellar in this year's playoffs, but choked as Yankees and Mets.

Nevertheless, Weaver was masterful in game 5, as has been that Cardinal bullpen.

  • He was great, especially in last night's game. I'm very happy for him and I knew the Cardinals could win. And don't forget the other unsung heroes, Yadier Molina, So Taguchi...they were amazing too! And Eckstein getting MVP, it was one 'eck of a year for the Cards! So many were counting the Cardinals out, but I always believed...and here we are: St. Louis Cardinals 2006 World Series Champions!!!!!

The guy's a choker who just happened to face a team that was already beaten. I hope he isn't on the team next year. Now trip out on his brother next year. Think the sorry Angels will trade the former Dirtbag to the Cards?

The first game I watched him pitch, I thought, o my gosh- what the heck did they bring him in for?! He has improved 110%, kudos to him and the pitching staff- he proved me and many others wrong!!!!!

I kept thinking of that country song--"How do you like me now?"
