For me the trick was to find someone who would explain it to me in a way that I can understand it.

There are different ways to explain things, and someone who takes the time to make sure that you understand and who explains it on your own pace can really make the difference.

And after that, a lot of practice. And I mean A LOT!

    Good luck!

My math teacher tells me that you shouldn't try and understand, just learn how to apply it onto things because it is not like science, and you don't have to understand.

Practice and practice and practice is the key!

start recognising the types and the formulas related to the different problems.these are like recognising the kangaroo words

as more often than not the formula will be hiding inside the problem itself

Keep practicing, sometimes it's really hard to actually understand it but it just seems like one those things you do just because they're that way.

    relate it to real life

you have to understand why something works because then you would get confused.

Like understanding why a formula would work or a method to solving a problem.

Just learn the formulas simple as that.
