The one at the top by the CD drive, even though the headphones fit, I can't promise you is a headphone jack. Most likely, it is. Then all you would have to do it open the case and fine the wires on the back of the plug and plug it into your motherboard. If it is built into your CD drive, then you are missing the small 4 prong wire that controls your CD drive's manual volume control. you may have to look on-line to get one of those. It will connect the back of your CD drive to the motherboard.
The cheapest and easiest way that I would advise you to solve this problem, is to get a headphone extension cable. I gave you a link to one below. That way you can get more slack in the line and you won't even have to worry about cracking open your case.

I think I know what you are talking about. For some reason most CD Drives are made so that you can listen to CDs through the drive itself, rather than having to listen through the computer.
The only time I've ever used it is when I'm installing Windows XP (and can't play a CD) so I just use the CD Drive and plug my speakers into its output jack.
There is NO way to connect the sound of the computer to that jack, so the only way you will get more head movement is to get a cord extension for your headphones, or a pair with a longer cord

HERE'S THE DEAL, ON THE BACK OF THE CD PLAYER IS A 4-PRONG PLUG FOR ANALOG AUDIO OUT. IF YOU TAKE THE WIRE FROM THE TOP SPEAKER JACK ON YOUR TOWER AND PLUG IT IN TO THE BACK OF THE CD PLAYER IT WILL ALLOW YOU TO LISTEN TO CD'S AS IF YOU WERE PLUGGED IN TO THE JACK ON THE FRONT OF THE CD PLAYER. WITH THAT SAID, I WOULD TAKE THAT SAME WIRE FROM THE TOP JACK AND PLUG IT IN TO MY MOTHERBOARD ACCORDING TO THE MOTHERBOARD DOCUMENTATION. IT IS A REALLY EASY SET UP. OF THE 4 WIRES, THERE IS RIGHT, LEFT, AND 2 GROUNDS. LOOKING AT THE PLUG ON THE MOTHERBOARD, WITH THE LOCKING TAB UP, THE PIN CONFIGURATION SHOULD BE --R-G-G-L--. TO MEAN RIGHT, GROUND, GROUND, LEFT. RIGHT IS RED, GROUND IS BLACK OR NAKED, AND WHITE IS LEFT. WHEREVER THE LOWER HEADPHONE JACK IS PLUGGED IN TO THE MOTHERBOARD, JUST PLUG THE TOP JACK'S WIRES INTO IT INSTEAD OF THE LOWER JACK. JUST REPLICATE HOW THE WIRES ARE CONNECTED. HOPE THIS HELPS YOU. ALSO YOU SHOULD GO INTO THE PROPERTIES OF YOUR CD DRIVE, AND ENABLE DIGITAL CD AUDIO FOR THIS DEVICE. IT IS A CHECK BOX IN THE PROPERTIES OF THE CD DRIVE. THIS USES THE IDE CABLE TO DELIVER THE AUDIO INSTEAD OF THE ANALOG AUDIO CABLE. BUT YOU STILL HAVE TO HAVE THAT TOP JACK PLUGGED INTO SOMETHING IN ORDER FOR IT TO WORK. EITHER THE CD PLAYER ITSELF OR THE MOTHERBOARD, AND PREFERABLY THE MOTHERBOARD. LOTS OF LUCK.
