You need to run the internet and networking wizards on the wireless unit and select "connect thru lan" when prompted! You will also need to set up file and print sharing on both PCs.

Practically if you want to have a network setup between 2 or more machines, they should be connected to each other, either directly or indirectly.

Your example is an indirect one. From my point of view you have 2 models you can go for as following:

    Model 1:

Both machines you have must have Wireless Cards. And you are working on a wireless router, then you can make the setup without problems.

    Model 2:

If your wireless router have got RJ-45 socket (network cable socket) then you only need to have the same socket on your main machine and in this case you just need a network cable to connect your main machine with the wireless router and you have a network with the other machine.

Hope my answer cleared the way.

Hi. you mentioned that you have a router.... you need a adapter on the other computer to recieve the signal of the router. I have two computers. One in my bedroom, which all the control panels are, a modem and router. The router is on my computer and the adapter is made by the same company is small and sits on top of my daughter's tower, and plugs into the USB outlet on her computer, now we both have access to the internet on one bill. Now you can go into settings and choose to share the same files.

guess you have cable or dsl internet? first set up a wireless network from your main pc (you need to label your network).

enable your wireless card on your other pc - it will automatically detect your home network. it if is located far from your main pc you may need a range expander.
