Do you belive in conspiracy theories in our American Government? I personally don't?

I, like you don't believe in the conspiracy theory of 9/11.

However, I have personal knowledge of conspiracies to cover up

rights of past soldiers rights. Where they were wounded and all the documents were destroyed or lost, preventing them from receiving the disability payments they deserved.

I don't believe in conspiracy theories. I think the "facts" generated are so corrupt and went through so many people and sources that by the time we get them, even through the news, its not even close to what is actually going on. Remember the Grapevine game as kids? I've considered every theory I've read or heard about and I have imagined what it would be like if each one were true.

Americans would react badly if they thought the government was really destroying their own citizens for a little financial gain and in the name of free enterprise. I liked your question. At least somebody is thinking.

Conspiracy theories are interesting, but thats all they are there for, entertainment. With every major event that happens not only in the U.S. but in the world comes the truth followed by the conspiracy theories.

But as you say consider it for a minute? It is definatly a worrying thing, I think if it was found out 3000+ people were killed, there would be absolute caos, and there may even have to be a reassesment of the republican party, and they may be in dire jeapordy for future elections.

But in my opinion, the American GOvernment, would neever in there right minds kill that many people just to go to war with someone, lets be honest America can go to war with someone for much better reasons, they dont even need a reason!...Everything that the government has done so far has been in the interest of the people, to better serve and protect the people of the United States, I am tired of these conspiracy theories, they are only for entertainment, and in the last couple years a democrat move to down the Bush government.

I spent alot of time on this.Read the entire 9/11 commission report and the new pearl harbour by Griffin.Seen the videos,read the statements released by the new york times after the gag order was lifted last august 2005 from firemen and the like and alot of other research.

There are so many PROVABLE RATIONAL FACTS THAT CLEARLY SHOW EXPLOSIVES WERE USED .

A lot of the conspiracy stuff IS pure unmitigated nonsense.But a lot of it is based in fact.

Disinformation,propaganda and counterpropaganda ahve always been tools of govt thruout history.Why is it so hard to accept that this could happen in our own country ,in our own lifetime?

How would America react if there was eveidence ?Well the simple fact is that there is alot of evidence and the answer to your question is apparent.People are divided on the issue roughly 50/50 if you judge by the number of polls out there.

Starr is right.Look at that face on George when he was in the classroom.That is not the face of the leader of the most powerful country on earth under surprise attack.No indignation,surprise,resolve .He looked rather embarassed to me.

After studying structural engineering and thoroughly researching the issue (like the loose change videos and beyond), I do not believe that 9/11 was an inside job. I know it wasn't. Outside of 9/11, our government is corrupt beyond measure. I laugh at those wearing tinfoil hats, but everything deserves to be looked into before dismissing it.

Our Government used the victims of 9/11 for their personal reasons to go after Saddam. Saddam had nothing to do with the attack on us. It was Bin Laden and this is the man they should have went after with the same vengeance as they did Saddam. Iraq did not ask for our help. I cannot believe Americans would actually support our Government for their reasons we are in Iraq. Think of all the folks who died on 9/11. They are probably wondering why our Government have gone after Saddam from the beginning. I want them to know that I take a stand for them and tell our Government that they need to go after the man who did this to them with the same vengeance if not more. I believe Bush had planned on going after Saddam if he got elected and 9/11 was used as that opening door. I support our troops in Iraq because they are doing their job that they are told to do but I do not support our Government because it is for the wrong reason. Folks just look at what our Government has our troops protecting the most over in Iraq, their oil. This is the reason they are dying over in Iraq for not to rid of terrorist and not certainly of 9/11 because it was not Saddam who attacked us on that day. Our Government is using their own people for their personal reasons. Wake up America and take a stand against our Governments wrongful acts. If they are doing this, then why would you not think they can do the conspiracy act. Look where President Bush was on the day of the attacked and he kept reading when he heard of the attack. Did you not see the expression on his face? It was not a surprised look.

People would not go crazy. Most people would be in denial. It's like finding evidence that your spouse is a serial killer. It would be too shocking for most people so they would continually deny.

The bloody knife - must be some explanation for it.

The stench of dead bodies - maybe we have a gas leak.

Apparent numerology involved in 9/11 - just coincidence.

Subsequent rise in oil prices - just blame it on China.

Jump in short selling and "put" options on the airlines involved - sunspots.

It's not closed minded to not fantasize the scenario you lay out. It's pointless unless there is some sort of evidence that it really happened. I can imagine a lot of things. However the fact that I imagine a scenario has noting to do with reality unless there is some sort of proof to support it. I think you're trying to equate your imagination with a hypothesis and they're not the same.
