How do I make Fairy Food (not Fairy Cake thanks)?

I remembered my mother used to make a fairy food that contains condensed milk and jelly from a packet. All done using a blender or mixer for a few minutes until all fluffy and put in fridge for about an hour or two. The trouble is, whats the best way to make it? Do I add the jelly straight into the mixed milk or do I need to melt the jelly first with hot water before I do it? I am open to suggestions..
