If i go and buy a "DVR/ DVD Recorder", will i need some type of service like tivo?
only if had bought my DVR from like a Wal-Mart or Best Buy

no you can get a Panasonic DMR-E85H DVR/DVD Recorders, which doesn't need a service It gets a TV guide and lets you chose what to record.

There is no DVR/DVD recorder. If you have a dvr or tivo (which yes needs active service) you can record from a dvr to your dvdr.

I know that in the UK, you can get Hard Disk/DVD Recorders, which doesn't need a service. It gets a TV guide via the digital TV signal, and lets you chose what to record.
Other just record what you see, but don't allow you to use a On Screen TV Guide to chose what to record.
However, I use SKY +. This is a subscription based service, but I feel its worth every penny.

there is not something like observing a recreation stay yet even as i'm in college and a recreation is being performed, I TiVo them. I also guarantee that I TiVo another video games even even as i'm observing them stay because it really is what receives me by the lengthy off season. fortunately i have not any acquaintances which will ruin the end results of the game for me and my kinfolk comprehend more effective perfect than to attempt this too :) I in basic terms visit my room and watch the game in peace.
