Outlook Express has disappeared after uninstalling Mozilla's Thunderbird.?
Hi all, hope you can help! I recently changed from IE to Mozilla's Firefox (which is going great, I much prefer firefox to IE)....I then downloaded/installed Mozilla's email client Thunderbird.
I found that I could receive emails but could not write or reply emails. I tried a number of ways to fix this but no go.....so I uninstalled thunderbird and wanted to go back to Outlook Express.
Now, when i click on Email (in my start menu) it brings up the Internet Properties pop up window but no email client. Same as the shortcut for emails on my desktop.
How or where do I find it again so I can enter the email client to read and send emails?
Hope i've made sense....lol

You should check your E-mail settings. Outlook Express is probably turned off.
To see if it is STILL on your system do a "search for files & folders", for "outlook", on C: drive. If it is there (most likely) you just have to reset the E-mail.
WHY would you want Outlook Express, that is the most "leaky" and vulnerable part of any Windows version? It has more bugs (and bug fixes) than a cockroach farm!!
I MANUALLY DELETE the entire thing from ALL my windows systems!

Check Default Email. Start, Set Program access and default, Custom, Set email Defaut, Outlook express.. That what I think is wrong. It probally change when you added Google pack....
