I would recommend interval running. Start out at a pace you can comfortably maintain for, say, five minutes and then run as hard as you can for one minute, then carry on at your comfortable pace for 5, then beast it again for 1 minute etc etc...aim to do this every other run. Your 'other' run should concentrate on endurance so run a set distance at a steady pace and watch your times reduce....hope this makes sense...it's hard to explain in type
