If you whole heartedly like and do what you do then not only Astronomy, any job is a fun job. When you do such a fun job time flies. Astronomy is sure one such profession, where you will never feel tired of it. While optical astronomers observe in the night, the radio astronomers observe celestial sources both in the day and night. Rain, Clouds, Sunlight don't affect the observations of radio sources. Similarly astronomy in other frequencies of observations such as Gamma ray, X-ray, Ultraviolet, Infrared and microwave each have different types of advantages and restrictions.

Astronomy is one of the oldest professions in the human society.

Modern day equipments and computers have made the astronomical observations much easier now than it used to be in the past.

It's fun if you have an absolutely flawless grasp of English grammar. If you write ungrammatically, you will be miserable as an astronomer.
