If I am understanding you correctly, I believe this is called an impacted tooth.

if i am to understand you correctly this is your 4th tooth on the right side, it is called a bicuspid, it could also be a cuspid, commonly known as an eye tooth, just not sure from your description, your two front teeth are called central incisors the teeth on either side of these are lateral incisors, next to these are the cuspids, these are the pointy teeth , next are the bicuspids most people have 2 on each side on the upper and on the lower then there are the molars.

Is the tooth sticking out of the roof of your mouth? Or... Is the tooth one of the pointy ones (k-9) and is it protruding (pushed outwards) from the rest?

I just got my braces off, and I must tell you it was well worth the effort. You should talk to your dentist about orthodontics.
