    Yes, especially in regards to children. Most children don't have a clue about what Christmas really means (or many other holidays for that matter). It's all about toys, getting out of school, decorations, and tv specials.

    Yeah--and people are afraid to mention the names of the holidays-

    Christmas, Chanukah, etc. because of fear of offending someone. Whatever happened to accepting and respecting each other's differences?

    Then the stores break out the "holiday" decorations in August!

    Agree! But if we all went back to the days when everyone hand-made their gifts and worked on them all year long, I'm afraid hardly anyone would get a gift!

    Very much agree. I started seeing "Buy Me" type ads about mid-October. Pretty soon it'll be like Charlie Brown and we'll all have aluminum Christmas trees.
