Help. I'm being attacked by someone when logging into Yahoo Messenger ... receiving multiple messages.?

Question

When I log on I get multiple messages that fill my screen until it overloads messenger and it shuts down.  How do I stop this or block incoming messages from anyone that is not on my friends list?  How can Yahoo track down this jerk and disable his/her account?

delete your old name and sign up under a different name and password,but before doing that run a virus check and a spy wear check on your computer

take them off your messenger list and push the button ignore this person button,  Or change your email address on everything.   I just had this man from Germany do just that to me I did messenger list and pushed ignore the person finally my son threatened to hunt him down and kick his butt but in worse words and I haven't heard from him since and I didn't change my email address.  good luck hon

i'm sure you can click on the persons screen name and chose to blick him!  are you sure it's not a virus?  if you get so many messages that you have to shut it down then it sounds like a virus to me!  good luck with that....

sounds like a virus.
go into "my yahoo" upper right
 then upper left 
click on "more yahoo"
 and go into security.

go to your ACTIONS menu on your IM screen and when the A**hole comes on you click on BLOCK SENDER and that should help

I DON'T THINK YOU CAN DISABLE THEIR ACCOUNT BUT YOU CAN BLOCK THEM...
