Yahoo! Mail says I have 1 unread message in Inbox, but I can't find it anywhere?

Use the View->Unread tool for each of your folders, this will help you find it right away.

If you're not using the new "beta" version, this is right above the buttons for delete, spam etc.

click on view and choose "unread messages".

Hey! I have the same problem! This has never happened before, and I was trying to post this problem to Yahoo!, aparently with no responses yet. So if it is a ghost email, when will it be gone? I checked everywhere, all folders are emptied. The emails in inbox, I selected all and marked them as read. Usually the "unread email" sign will be gone already, but it is still there. It gets anoying that I always thought there is new message, while there is none. Help!

Often times when I get newsletters from bands or magazines, etc, they are not always at the very top of my inbox. Sometimes when I get the new email, it will pop up anywhere, not like every other new email that usually appears at the top of the page. Maybe that is why. Did you check every single page?

you may have saved an e-mail to your folder without opening it and thus it will still show as an unread message at least that is usually what is happening when i get that message

rare, but sometimes server problems can throw up old or ghost mail.

if it isn't in your Inbox it probably doesn't exist.

click Check Mail.

if it still doesn't show, it doesn't exist.

unless you happen to have exceeded your quota, in which case it can't download until you clean out some folders.

there might want to be one way down on your messages so in basic terms scroll by them till you spot one unread. it takes position to me continuously.often times they conceal on the 2d web page of my inbox.

YES,@#%$# I have the same problem among several other w/ yahoo. I use to love yahoo and tell everyone about it but the last couple of months or so it has really pissed me off, I'm about ready to change my home pg.
