I am a Democrat, what should be my punishment?

We should force you to live in America where Democrats ruled for 70 years from 1930 and now have to consider some sharing of power with the Republicans. It will be very frustrating for you and you will be miserable. But, you won't be as miserable if you study and try to learn why it is the Republican voters see more clearly how to run the country than most Democrats. It will be messy. But you can survive it. Others have. It is the curse of being an American. You have to put up with people who think their way is better sometimes.

Essentially this is the phychological equivalent of (a) above.

I think Democrats should have to live under the full weight of all their policies and beliefs, without being bailed out by Republicans. Now THAT would be justice. And a terrible punishment.

None of the above. A better punishment would be for you to need hospitalization and have to do it under a socialized medicine.
