Why do cats want to always lay on your head when you lay down?

    They just want to be dominant over you and this is the highest part of your body. This is natural for them. It's a bonus that your head is warm.

    I do have that trouble with my head. When I lie down it is usually to read a book and the cats want to be on my chest in front of the book.

    Maybe because that area sets off alot of heat and warmth.It also want others to know that your his/her owner and no other cats can come near you as a territory issue
