How do you feel about the referees in the NBA, now that they give Techs faster?

Four players have been ejected already. The refs are giving out technical fouls even faster as a part of their "Zero Tolerance" policy or whatever it is. What is your take on this subject?

i don't know. i'm kind of in the middle. i hate games where the whistles blowing and the refs call everything because to me it's like why don't you just let them play? but then again i don't like it when they whine and get up in the refs faces. we'll see what happens as the season goes on.

It sucks because the refs are taking awat from the game. BBall is an emotional sport. Its unnatural for a bad call to go thru with some sort of disbelief from the player I say let em play Refs are throwing out superstars nobody came to see the refs run up and down the court

I am happy to see the officials getting strict on unsportsmanlike conduct. There is no place in basketball for whining and complaning. Once the official makes a call, there are no provisions in the rules to allow him/her to change it, with the exception of the rules for correctable errors and the few situations that replay equipment may be used. Players should not be allowed to complain in an attempt to intimidate officials or try to make them change their calls. Such actions should immediately be penalized with a technical foul.

For those who believe that the new policy stops players from expressing emotion, you are wrong. Players may express emotion, they just can't harass officials.

When I watch basketball, I do so to see the athletic abilities of the players. If I want to see drama and emotion (which I don't), I will watch a soap opera.

It's a good rule if enforced properly. It's basically a judgment call on every tech they give out. Carmelo throwing his headband at his bench looks like frustration at himself to me. But the refs thought otherwise. You can't raise your hands?? Come on. Now Rasheed Wallace, who always took it too far, is probably deserving so I will have to see how it plays out.

I'm wondering if players and refs who never got along will have some influence, as well as the big stars like Kobe, Lebron, and Shaq. Will they have more lattitude.

I think the new policy just ruins the game and wastes time. It keeps stopping the game, and won't let the players play. I think one day someone like Rasheed Wallace is gonna punch a ref's face in for a stupid technical.

i dont like it, already 4 players have been ejected including my fave player Carmelo Anthony, I mean so what, half the time the refs are wrong. But i guess it will be an interesting season this year!

I will feel better when they actually start calling the game the way it's supposed to be called. Then the NBA won't be forced to eject players for yelling at the officials.

I like it more, because I hate it when people get in the refs faces like they are going to change the call. Maybe they will grow up, and stop acting like little kids whining for whatever they want.

I think it's cool because as soon as the ref calls tha call, you can't change it. So they shouldn't trip about it.

It's good, if players want to play like idiots, they should be treated like them.
