I'm taking my daughter to the Soho in NY City for the day. Any ideas of what to do and see?

it depends on the age of your daughter really. if she is like from the age of 5-13ish, the american girl store is a must.. i am not sure of the exact location but it is in a pretty good area with things to do. also try to bring her to times square. it has lots of things to do like the wax muesum (it can be a little expensive but it is totally worth it), the mtv store (if she is a teenager), toys*r*us (which has the ferris wheel - an all-time favorite for kids of all ages), and a whole bunch of other stores..if you are around union square, stop there. the farmers market is great this time of year and if your daughter is older, there is great shopping - american eagle, paragon sports, forever 21, dsw shoes, and more. also for shopping, 34th street is awesome. i hope this kinda helped you out. i know you mentions only soho but you really have to branch out when trying to see the city in only one day.

What NOT to see and do. Wonderful place. My daughter and I go to NYC whenever we can. Just walk the streets and see what you find. If you can and it's Thursday through Saturday, hit Union Square for the market on 14th street. There's a huge DSW and Filene's accross the street. Or go to Chelsea Market on 15th. Ton's of great stuff to take in. Have fun!!!
