Sorrento, Italy?
I know this isn't really a travel question, but I don't know where else to look. I am trying to find information on a table I found that was made in Sorrento, Italy. It is triangle shaped, with an inlaid lid. When you lift the lid, it is a music box. On the bottom is part of a tag saying Sorrento and there are three S marks near each leg. First 1 S, then two and then three. Any help?
I've been in contact w/that company and no help.
and telling me you see them when you're strolling through town doesn't help me. I live in New England (USA), it's highly unlikely I"LL see them!

Hi there,
First off, are you able to give the dimensions of the table and maybe even upload a photo/photos of it? If you know the name of the song it plays, tell us that as well, please.
The only information I can give (without the above information) is to suggest it was most likely a souvenir from Sorrento, bought by someone who was travelling there. (i.e. it's not likely to be an import unless the original owner was after that item specifically)

Sorrento is beautiful. I would highly recommend going there - as well as doing a day trip to Capri. In terms of hotels I would suggest Magi House or the Palazzo Montefusco Sorrento. Both of which are exceptional.
