If i made up a species that could survive in the tundra how could a short nose help it ???
I have a project where im to create a new species that live in a certain habitat, the habitat is the tundra. how could having a short nose help or aid this animal in the enviroment in any way shape or form...minimal detail required please and thank you!!!

Reduction of heat loss. The short snout would aid in keeping heat in, and also would make for a goot burrowing tool for finding small animals.

A short nose will have less surface area to lose heat through, thus helping the animal to stay warm.
