Possible speech topics?

If you want to get people's attention and/or probably make some of them mad, you should do a speech on the "wedge" issues (as Lou Dobbs calls them) between Republicans and Democrats, environmental issues, lowering the drinking age, abortion, foreign policy, drugs legal/illegal. Another thing is to find an issue that is at least semi-interesting within your local/state community, like something in the news perhaps, or an on going problem, or why to outlaw something, or make something into a law.

You have to consider your audience. You don't want to try to persuade a bunch of teenagers that IPODS are bad for their ears, your speech will be falling on def ears. Instead chose something that will grab their interest. For instance government corruption, like misuse of national defense funds, this info. is not readily available in mainstream media, and when people hear it, they tend to get agitated, which will make your speech a success. Since it has to be a persuasive speech label it why we need to vote Democratic, Republican, or why we shouldn't vote at all. I hope this helps. Do you go to Kean U?

why capital punishment should be outlawed and no longer used by our penal system... it costs too much to not only house the inmates, but also for all their appeals... it's costly... timothy mcveigh's death cost more than 7 million dollars in tax payers money... that's just one person... think of how many people are on death row... and there are groups of people who are against... and the most surprising groups are the ones consisting of families of victims of people on death row... you should look into it... you know if you believe that we shouldn't have the death penalty!
