broadband???

if i take mtnl broadband connection, is it possible that 1 one connection is installed on 2 computers which r at one plce, or it can b intalled only on 1 computer, is networking or some other thing possible????

    Yes. Its possible. Connect the modem or Router to the faster system. Connect that system with a crossed-cable to the other one using N/W Cards. Configure sharing and the internet connection will start working.

  • I'm not sure I completely understand your question, since you've abbreviated several things. But, if you asking about networking a broadband connection, yes, you can do it. You can do a wired network, which would mean you have cables running from your router to any computers you have hooked up to it. Or, you can do a wireless network, so you can be more mobile in the house or at least not have to have cables everywhere. Just make sure if you go with the wireless router that you check your security settings so others can't steal your bandwidth. You don't want people to just be able to drive up and park near your house and access your internet service wirelessly.

    I think what you're asking about is a router. A router takes your one internet connection and allows more than one PC to connect to the internet. A few companies make pretty cheap routers: linksys, d-link, netgear.

    They are easy to setup, and most have 24 hour support to help you get started.
