I was born ignorant and a Democrat voted for Jimmy Carter but Reagan convinced me that Democrats just wanted more and more tax money to spend. Bush I convinced me that Repulicans also like to spend tax money so much they'll raise taxes too. So I vote for Perot. That got us Clinton.

Now I'm a Libertarian and we are going to kick the other two phony party's out of power, Some day. I joined them because they are the only party based on the same principles under which this country was founded.

I switched to the Democratic party so I can vote for the weaker candidate in their primary. I still vote for Republicans though. And I will continue to until a better party has a chance of beating the Dems and the Reps. I may not like either of them completely, but I'll not waste my vote on a party that has no chance of winning. I'd rather vote for the lesser of 2 evils than waste a vote on a good party. Sad to say, but it is so.

It is that attitude Black Gunman, that will keep honest officials out of office. I don't care if you vote left or right, I think you should vote for who you feel is right.

Voting for someone you don't agree with because you think they are going to win anyway is the same as not voting at all. It is irresponsible.

eh... I never joined a party per say, but I used to be quite conservative leaning...

my real reasons were I felt the Republican policies supported the wealthy much more than everyone else... and they have no real concern with helping anyone become rich... only if you are rich already...

basically, if you don't have business sense... then screw you seemed to be the Republican philosophy...

I mean it's one thing to "teach a man to fish"... it's another to say "learn how to fish on your own"... I don't see Republicans doing any teaching or supporting any teaching...
