Anyone know what I do or give to my dog to stop her from eating poo?
My dog recently started eating her's and our other dog's poop and it's making her sick and throw up all over the house. Anyone know what to do? I clean the poop out of the yard everyday but she gets some before I can clean it.

The term of eating poop is called coprophagia but is most commonly reported when dogs eat their own poop. In this case a product called Forbid (and others) can be added to the food, but as indicated, you will need to gain some professional advice on the best course for your dog.

It's unlikely the poop is what is making your dog throw up, so you need to take her to the vet and find out what's really going on. Most dogs are 'coprophagous' (poop-eaters), and while it's pretty gross, it won't make them sick, typically.
If she's only eating her own and that of another dog you feed, you can try sprinkling their food with meat tenderizer, it makes their poop (if this makes any sense!) 'unpalatable'!
Good luck...

It sounds like your diet is lacking some vital nutrients. Try feeding her from your plate instead of the commercial stuff, which is laden with toxins, and will cause your dog many health problems later in its life, if it lives long enough. You can add fruit & vegetables to his meat source. Very healthy.
The upshot is - change your dogs diet. You can do this slowly, introducing the new food bit by bit, I prefer to change it straight away.

The Deter or Meat Tenderizer on her food will only keep her from eating her own poo. If you have other dogs feed them the meat tenderizer too. If she's eating poo at the park... well unless you want to talk to all the dog owners there and get them to give their dogs meat tenderizer then just keep her from eating other dogs poo.

My dog does this too sometimes. A friend who was a dog breeder said it’s typical that dogs feel they are missing something in their diet. I would be more concerned about the dog eating others dogs poo.

Try giving her some table scaps along with her dog food. Unusual eating habits are often a dietary deficiency.

If you have a local pet store you can go buy these pills that will stop your dog from it's problem. Also when your there you can ask a worker there! I hope your dog feels better!

My dog was doing this as well and I was told her was a deficiency in her diet and you could get pills from your vet to fix it. I simply switched her to a higher quality food and she stopped doing it.

My dog just started doing this also, and I looked it up on the net. Then she just stopped. Dogs will do this. Ask your vet and good luck.
