you have a total of four computers, which you want to connect so each one can "talk" to each other?
you need a wireless switch; you plug in the two networked ones to the switch, the others will connect wireless to the switch.
usually, the switch would support "DHCP" (kind of plug&play) - simply set the network settings to something like "attain automagically". If the switch doesn't support DHCP, you will have to set the IP addresses manually. Each computer requires a unique IP address formed like: 192.168.100.x and a subnet mask like 255.255.255.0.
The subnet mask will be the same on all four computers, the ip address will change in the last digit, like 192.168.100.1, 192.168.100.2, 192.168.100.3 and 192.168.100.4 (again, the subnet mask remains the same).
Try this out with the wired computers, and see, if they can "see" each other. (select start, run, type in cmd, a black command line window opens, then enter "ping 192.168.100.1" (or .2 or .3 or .4) and see what happens. If the answer is something like "timed out" you have a problem, if the answer is number you are set :))

As stated, you need a "wireless" switch or router, MOST of which ALSO have ethernet connectors for "wired" systems.
If you have a "wireless" DSL, this will act as the switch or router, and usually will also have the necessary "wired" connections.
The answer by "argeo" is correct as to programming; EXCEPT, for manual settings do NOT use the number 0 or 255 for the last number in the computer IP. Those 2 numbers have special uses.
The subnet mask is correct. 255.255.255.0, (these are the ONLY two numbers that should appear in the subnet mask!)

you're making use of cable internet and a separate router is what i see. In hind-website you in all probability understand because of the fact you have cable internet, you need to have used a Gateway this is a a fancy way of asserting modem/router blended, and you realize those issues are pertaining to on your subject. i'm basically attempting to be humorous no pun meant. i actually those days switched over to a cable ISP yet i ought to have studied a week until eventually now I knew what i mandatory to purchase and had each and every thing i mandatory right here for the tech who set up each and every thing. (i did no longer have cable the place i mandatory. I made a mistake the different night and deleted the wan handle i presumed i replaced into cooked regardless of if it gained a sparkling handle all via itself, one mistake taught me some situation) i'm hoping I relatively have helped you each and every form of provider has it relatively is very own quirks.
