Where in Lebanon would suggest a nice romantic honeymoon?
Also, are people there polite/nice with women? (You know, if you been to Egypt, how impolite young men can be with good looking women in the streets) If you don't think it would be a good place for a honeymoon, let me know too.

Lebanon definitely IS a good place for honeymoon. Where to go depends on the the time of the year. A good time would be New Years - loads of parties around if this is what you are looking for. Otherwise I'd recommend April/May or September/October . I personally find it to hot during summer season.
If you go in winter, there is skiing in the Cedars and Farayah. The "Intercontinental IC Mountain Resort & Spa Mzaar" is a good hotel.
If you prefer to stay in Beirut I would go for the "Albergo" in the christian quarter of Ashrafieh. A very romantic boutique hotel in a nice neighborhood. Another good choice would be the Intercontinental Vendôme which has stunning sea views. The Palm Beach Hotel with a wonderful roof-top bar and pool has them too and is less stressing for the budget.
Women with western style dresses and make-up are a common sight in Beirut and people do not behave in an offending way. Even in the more rural areas you should not run into any problems. Lebanon's people are extremely divers when it comes to lifestyle and religion. They are used to different looking people.
I hope this was somewhat helpful and if you should have further question, just send me a message.

Lebanon can be the best place for honeymooners. If you like mountains, go to the Cedars, a nice hotel called Auberge des Cèdres is a lovely place. If you need crowd, go to Beirut. Phoenicia Hotel take good care of honey mooners. Do not worry about your wife, she will be OK and happy with all the shopping. Men are usually polite and they respect couples. Enjoy Lebanon while it lasts :-)

I believe in all the Arab world most men are impolite with women, especially when the woman is pretty. What makes Lebanon any more different than the rest of the region?

There's a very nice hotel very close to Beiteddine Castle, Shouf area,
the hotel is called "Asr el Mir Amin"
very nice view, calm area, very romantic.
In Lebanon, in general, people are more used to see pretty girls in the street than in any other Arab country,
but still, sometimes you might hear some whistle...!!

sharm and hurghada is turning out to be very busy cities and as you're in honeymoon, i imagine some new places faraway from the stress might want to be a lot more effective, that is likewise in egypt like marsa alam and el qusier south from hurghada, also that is amazingly valuable places to dive and snorkel.. congratulation for the marriage :)
