I am a 24 year old female who has been urinating frequently. What does this mean?
I was at work today and had to urinate practically every hour (or less). I have a "small bladder" but it has never been this bad before. It doesn't hurt when I do urniate. I urinate different amounts each time (either not much or a normal amount; nothing excessive). The other weird part is that I feel the urge to urinate right after urinating.

Possible UTI (Urinary Tract Infection)
Or you may just have a bladder infection
Dont take my word for it though I suggest you see a doctor for professional medical advice

Appears everyone here is in agreement re: a possible UTI but there are other possibilities and if you punch symptoms into say, Google, they will back up what I will add, but since you really didn't give enough information this is just another guess, so get your butt to a doctor and pee in a cup to verify a UTI. You may have a kidney stone that has moved down from a kidney and is now in your bladder, and if so it will most likely get flushed out during one of your pee times so like if you have a UTI, drink A LOT of clear liquids, and Cranbury juice. It probably will not clean up a UTI but the more you pee the better the chance a stone will wash out. By the way, a stone moving down a Ureta from a kidney usually hurts like hell until it lands in the bladder so was there pain before all this peeing started? How long has this been happening? You seem to think you have a small bladder; maybe you really don't as they are usually about the same size in all people. You should look up and learn about Kegal Exercises to build up the pee hold muscle and once you get this problem fixed, don't pee all the time at the first have to go urge. The more you do that, the less your bladder will be able to hold. Think of it like weight training; same kind of thing really.

It probably wouldn't hurt to see a doc to rule out a bladder infection, but if there is no pain or "burning" when you urinate, that may not be it. Did you have anything unusual to drink (either by type or amount) on the morning in question? Certain types of drinks (particularly caffeine, dairy, and drinks with artificial sweeteners) can cause irritation of the lining of the bladder and cause you to feel the need to urinate frequently, even if you just went. Different things have different effects on different people, though -- for example, coffee "goes right through" some people, while others don't seem to be as drastically affected by it -- so the question is whether there is something that was interacting with *your* system in particular in that way. Of course, if you have a "small bladder" to begin with, anything that has an effect on your system in this way is going to be that much more pronounced than it would be in most people, simply because you don't have as much storage capacity.
Another possibility is that you may be developing symptoms of "overactive bladder," which you could also discuss with your doctor, although you might want to think about how bad the symptoms really are before going on meds for that, because the meds usually have side effects of their own.
Good luck, I hope you find some answers for this!

Sounds like a urinary tract infection. Although you may not want to drink anything, you should still drink plenty of water and cranberry juice to help flush out the bacteria. There is also something you can buy over the counter called AZO. Take that in meanwhile until you're able to get to see a doctor. They can definitely tell if you have and infection. Please do this a.s.a.p. because UTI's can quickly turn into kidney infections, which are worse. Remember some infections are silent.

Frequent or urgent need to urinate and need to urinate at night are some of the symptoms of Urinary tract infection. Urine analysis and urine culture tests may be conducted.
Please see the webpages for more details on Urinary tract infection.

1. You could have a bladder infection
2. You might have had some food/drink with diuretic properties (caffeine, asparagus, etc)
3. You could have sugar in your urine (diabetes).
4. It could be another hormonal problem.
It's a really quick test at the doctor's--you pee in a cup and they can tell instantly if there's an infection or sugar.

Probably a urinary tract infection. Do you have an antibiotic to take? It will usually clear up on its own, but with an antibiotic, it is almost instant.
