Jews for Jesus have nothing in common with Judaism, since you cannot believe in the Christian Messiah AND practice Judaism.

Jewish is a race. Judaism is a religion, as is Christianity. There are many Jews who believe that Christ is who He said He is...and so Jews for Jesus are simply Christians, whose race happens to be Jewish (and therefore, they likely maintain many of the Jewish traditions, which are also rooted in the Christian faith that encompasses everything from Genesis to Revelation).

All Jews expect the promised deliverer called Messiah. Jews for Jesus are Jews who accept that Jesus Christ is that promised Messiah. No more, no less. All other Jews are still waiting for the promised Messiah of Israel.

In Jesus day, the Jews expected a militant Messiah to deliver them from Rome. Instead, the Messiah was a deliverer of peace. Today, the world wants a Messiah of peace but when Christ returns he will be... pretty darned mad.

Source(s): Revelation 6:15-17, "And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?"

Difference from Jews Faith in Jesus not in the Law

Difference from Christians The Fathers of the Faith in the Old testament are their relatives...

Jews for Jesus are Jewish Christians and believe the same as Christians do.

Depends on who you ask. To me, they are no different from any other xitian. They like to play like they are doing Jewish stuff but its nothing like true Judaism. The whole concept was a creation of the Southern Baptist Convention to convert Jews to xitianity.

These answers are nonsense. I was the leader of a Messianic Congregation for 10yrs and Jews for Jesus are pretenders. They do not practice true Judaism. They like the "feel good" parts of Judaism but it really means nothing to them because they are now "free" from that old Law stuff.

jews for jesus is a protestant christian evangelistic organization targeting the jews. started by a baptist minister. they claim to be jewish but have no jewish beliefs - their statements of faith look exactly like the statement of faith of any other regular christian organization, except for a few hebrew words thrown in here and there to give it a "jewish feel".

From what I have experienced (David Israel) they are really annoying.

They believe in Jesus but stick to the old testament. Drives Christians nuts.
