Are there religions or culture, where it is common to shave / remove pubic hair?

In which region or religion is it common, and do you know any reason why?

OK, going back a bit but you asked...

In Ancient Egypt, priests were required to remove all body hair (ALL) because then they'd be clean enough to enter holy shrines to the various Egyptian gods.

Imagine having to be constantly shaved, tweased and hairless. That must take so long to make sure you don't have any hair.

I believe it is more common in the Asian cultures for the women to shave their pubic hair for the reason of cleanliness.
