how long and at what temperature should you bake boneless skinless chicken?

I have close to 2 lbs. that is cut in to 3 pieces, but I don't know exactly how long and at what temperature to bake it to make sure that it is done thoroughly and I want to make sure that it is done all the way through (the peices are pretty thick.) If anyone could tell me, I would greatly appreciate it!

    I usually bake my boneless, skinless chicken breasts on 350 degrees for about 25 or 30 mins covered in foil, then take the foil off and bake for 5 or 10 more mins.

    I personally would cut it into a few smaller pieces and not do it in the oven. I find that plain boneless skinless chicken tends to dry out in the oven. I like to do mine in about 1 tablespoon of butter mixed with 2 tablespoons of oil in a skillet on the stove top or even on the grill if marinating. If you are using the stove top method, it should take about 15 to 20 minutes. I usually cup the biggest piece in half to check for doneness. On the grill over med heat it is about 8 to 10 minutes per side. Again, if the juices run clear it is done.

    You should pound out the thicker pieces of chicken to make all the pieces about the same thickness so that all cook at a relatively uniform amount of time.

    When you use dry heat, as in baking in an oven, use high heat and less time... i cook mine at 400F for about 15 minutes. I use a meat thermometer to check the internal temp at the thickest point. Chicken is done at 165F, if you don't have a meat thermometer inserting a knife and releasing it, the running juices should be clear.

    When cooking chicken with moisture use a lower temperature and longer cooking time.

    Are you breading it or coating it in something by any chance? Because if not & you have an extra couple minutes, please consider caramelizing it in a saute pan first. It's SOO EASY!

    Just heat a few tablespoons of olive oil in a saute pan 'til it's almost smoking, med. high. Meantime put seasoning all over your chicken. Salt, pepper, grill seasoning, cayenne pepper, essence, whatever. Drop the chicken pieces one by one and cook for about 6 minutes on both sides, just long enough for a nice brown crust to form.

    Remove the chicken and put in a greased baking dish. Bake in a preheated oven @ 375 for about 20 minutes. I promise you won't be sorry!!!! When chicken is done, squeeze a little fresh lemon juice over it. MMMMMM

    Try 350 for 20 to 30 minutes. Keep an eye on it

    I would suggest baking at 350 for approximately 25 minutes....maybe 30.

    At 350 degrees. 20 min per lb 180 internal temp. Until juices run clear.

    After 30 minutes at 350, cut into the thickest one. If the juices are clear, it is completely cooked.

  • 410 degrees f is a good core temperature for skinless boneless chicken. If you baste it and cook in an oven or a crock-pot agood time frame would definitely be 3 to 4 hrs.

    You cook it a 325F. But it's difficult to tell you how long without seeing it. I use a temperature probe myself. I'd say 50-60min. But wait for some other replies first
