Birthday Present Dilemma?

Make him a fleece blanket. (3 yards plain, 3 yards print) cut 1' wide by 3" long strips around the entire outer edge of the fleece placed on top of each other and tie them together. Get a theme that he likes for the print fleece - fishing, racing, football, cars, mustangs........ what ever he is interested in. Watch for sales on Fleece at Joanne Fabric - you can get it 1/2 price.

I remember when I got my first job at a grocery store at 16. It's such a great feeling to have your own money. Maybe your daughter could buy you an ice cream sundae for $2 or $3 and one for her and then you can go to the park and take a nice relaxing walk, feed the birds or just sit on the swings. I remember when i was sixteen(omgosh, that was 20 years ago!! amazing!!) and had my first job at a local grocery store, I loved to spend money on my sister, my brother, MYSELF LOL, and loved to buy gifts for my parents.(shirts for my dad, and flowers or some little figurine for my mom usually). My dad kept a tight rein on my finances, but I did get to have some gas money for my car and spending money for summer weeknights with my friends. She's wanting to share her excitement about finally having some money of her own to do with what she pleases. Let her enjoy this moment. Have a Happy birthday by the way! If he's a gamer, you can buy him the latest war game or if not, guys always love tech gadgets. Get him an Ipod Nano if he dosen't already have one, he will love it!
