press the back button. It should be the first button on the second toolbar.

Yeah, pretty frustrating isn't it. Like said you can carefully use the backbutton, or try to locate it in your history list.. the recently visited pages are usually towards the top.
You should also be able to copy the page's url from the address bar, when your ready to return just paste the url back into the bar and click. You can just about forget trying to find it using the page links at the bottom... believe me.. I Know :(

I use Firefox and when I answer a question, I click with the middle-mouse button which causes it to open up in a new tab.
I answer, edit and submit in that tabbed window.
When I'm done I close that tab by clicking on the "x" or type a Control-W and I'm right back where I started.

scroll back up until the subject you are answering shows again on the left side of scren an left click the mouse pointer on it . will take you back to the first page of the subject and on the bottom of the questions list (1,2,3,4,5).
