How long will it take for my hernia to recover?
I have a hernia on the right side of my bladder, very close to the penis <>_<> But anyways I have had this thing since i was about 9 years old and now im 22... If I stand for a long period of time or do not go to the bathroom, when I should, the intestine will sort of pop out leaving a bubble type look on my bladder. I am able to push it back in, when needed. I would like to get an estimate timing of the recovery after having an operation done on this. I will get the operation done in China, because this is where I live and work at the moment. Also out of intrest I would like to know how much it would cost to get an operation done like this? Here in China will cost me a little over 100 USD. Also I can go any day I decide to get the operation and get it done. I just might go tomorrow = S Thanks!

If the surgery is done correctly, you will be fully recovered after 6 weeks. Take it easy for the first week (take off work, sit around and do nothing). The second through sixth week, do not overdo anything, do not lift anything over 10 pounds, do not do any strenous activity. By the 3rd or 4th week you will be feeling pretty good, but you still need to take it easy and not overdo anything.
As far as cost, my surgery cost $5,000 in the US but was covered by insurance and I paid a $250 deductible. I would be very weary about a surgery like this for $100. If that is just what you have to pay and insurance covers the rest that is one thing, but if it is just some back-alley guy cutting you open for $100 then think twice.

when I had my operation, my pain too was also close to my nether regions. The Doctor said recovery could take anywhere from 2 weeks to a couple of months because of the advancements in this type of surgery. I found that it took a better part of 2 months to feel somewhat recovered, but I felt right as rain in about 4 months. Insurance covered my operation.

properly, first, do not convince your self. bypass see a clinical specialist and discover out for particular. you mustn't be able to do any heavy lifting for a strong 4 to 6 weeks, and probably as a lot as 2 months. that's because to fix the hernia, the clinical docs stitch some 'mesh' over the hollow. The muscle and pores and skin then advance over the mesh and help in making it everlasting. that's why the lengthy down time. this does no longer propose you won't be able to stroll round, and so on. basically no heavy lifting that could want to tear the sutures and new pores and skin and muscle.
