My daughter had a baby on August 24, 2006. Her baby's first name is not spelled on the birth certificate the way she wanted it spelled and she wants to have it corrected. What does she need to do to take care of this?

You have to go to court, get a change of name. It is pretty easy and doesn't cost much.

She has to talk with the hospital first to see if they are willing to correct the mistake. If not, she will have to pettition the court and it will cost about 2-5 hundred dollars...send the hospital a bill.

well what u have to do is go to court and change your name and for each letter its about let me see......$1000.00
