Looking for Maine Coon kitten in Ohio?
I have looked on tons of websites for Maine Coon kittens in Ohio and i can't seem to find any. Does anyone know anybody who has a Maine Coon cat that is having babies or had kittens in the past 2-3 months? I'm looking for a kitten under 3 months old. If you know of any near Cinci, Columbus or Dayton please let me know :)
Thank you sooo much! :)

Thank you very much for the link. Very helpful. I also want to find out if anybody has a Maine coon who had or is having babies (residential home) .... Honestly not looking to pay 100s of dollars to get one at a breeder. But will if i have to. I will be contacting the breeders on that website to get prices.
Just found out most of the breeders want $800 for the cats. I am NOT paying that much so i guess i'll keep looking at shelters.
I'm going to start looking at rescue shelters ... because i dont mind if its mixed with like a domestic long hair (nothing else)

If you want a Maine Coon with papers and a pedigree it's gonna cost you. You can get cats at shelters with Maine Coon traits though much cheaper.
I just remembered about Maine Coon Rescue http://mainecoonrescue.com/ They are out of KY but have adoption centers in a few other states. Not Ohio though. But if the center in KY isn't too far you can drive down.

Go to www.cfainc.org for breeders. By the way, check out that website for upcoming show info...Cincinnati has a big cat show downtown every year around Valentines Day - great way to see cats you might like & meet breeders! Remember, they will be very preocupied with the event. When you see a cat you like, ask them for a card or write down their info & contact them later. You may want to consider getting a cat through the breed's rescue group, also, as this gives a cat a 2nd chance at a home & costs less. Good luck!

They is only one way to find out for certain and that is by DNA test for parentage. I provided a link for that below. Even the Pixie Bob breed of cat that looks exactly like a bobcat has no bobcat DNA, so it's doubtful a black with white cat is either, very doubtful. The Maine Coon is the largest domestic breed of cat, they have large paws and come in the Tuxedo or black/white pattern with long hair so that could be a possibility.

You may want to check out your animal/cat shelters. I have a beautiful Mainecoon that I rescued. It's surprising how many pure breeds are in our shelters that are unwanted by their owners. Give them a call or stop by.
