No charge for text messaging?

does any cell phone company offer this for free?

    i have verizon and in my package i can send to other verizon for free.. we can talk or text free with each other if they have the plan... dunno which plan it is cuz it's my bf's account. that's the only one that i've ever heard of.. thank god the pc is still free.. sorta

    Afraid I can't help you there. I have Cingular Wireless and unfortunately whether my text messages are sent to (or received from) another Cingular mobile user or not, I still get a 10 cent fee.

    They're only free if you pay for a text messaging plan.

    No, not for free. :(

    It depends on your plan. I get 300 text per month.
