I am having trouble connecting my Laptop to the internet on my Desktop?

Okay here is what i have.

Desktop is connected to the internet by DSL using a ActionTec GT701. It is running on Windows 2000(sp2).

My laptop is running windows XP and I have a AirLink101 Wireless Cardbus Adapter. I also have an extra netgear wireless usb adapter.

Call your ISP. They might have to configure your connection for wireless access

You need to to set up your desk top as a wireless system too. You don't have to change the way you internet is hooked up to it, but you need to set it (the desk top) up wireless too. Then share teh internet with both. Your desk top will work on the regular internet and the laptop on the wireless. Search the internet on wireless networking.
